Does it matter what camera do I use?

In short answer Yes, it does matter. Like with any tools, you need to have the right tools for the job. But you don’t need to overcompensate with the latest and most expensive camera if you never use it for what it was designed. If you don’t need extra-large images, don’t go for megapixels, don’t shoot sports, why waste on faster shutter speed …
Let’s look at examples. You going to a photoshoot wedding. You don’t need faster speed, but most likely will be shooting in poor lighting conditions sometimes, noise in high ISO will affect the quality of the shots. Shoot outside in harsh lighting? You will need a camera with a good dynamic range. And so on.
A good camera helps you focus on the creative part and stop being distracted by tweaking settings on the cammera.
