With age this Plato quote get more relevant :” I know that I know nothing”
When I came to USA from Soviet Union, few thing was shocking to me, one of them is amount of available education, books stores full of information that in Soviet Union I use to copied by hand, DOS IRQ tables, C structure and other geeky and non geeky information, and sadly I was surprise to find people who prefer to never learn again after they left schools. I am learning a lot from artists around me and trying to share my knowledge as well. Internet brought our civilization to the next level : first when people learn how to write and preserve information, second how to print and deliver that information to people, third is now when any one can publish, some of that gold, some is garbage. It is easier and faster now find answer you are seeking. Here is few my places, where I am going to get new knowledge or refresh old:
List not in any order, just as places popup in my head.
large collection of video tutorial, cover most of the subjects, programming, photography, art.
Top photographer training resources.
mostly for 3d artist
similar to lynda.com
Gnomon, CG artist training portal.
you can find almost any thing there
Mostly after effects, animation video tutorials.

Also most of the software companies have their own educational portals now : adobe, autodesk, e-onsoftware…
For those who preferred printed materials check
and amazon library. I found that lots of photography books you can check out for free from amazon premium members.
You local libraries offer now most books free to check out electronically
And even bigger colleges and universities offer free online courses :
It is good time to learn.

almost all tutorials are free to watch online (youtube channel : http://www.youtube.com/user/GeekatplayStudio )
